To log a stat in GameCaller, push the microphone button, say what happened in the game, then hit the stop button. The audio will be processed, turned into a list of plays and displayed in the app.

Always remember that AI is not 100% accurate and there may be errors in turning your voice recordings into game stats.

GameCaller can log multiple stats from a long voice recording. Note that the free plan does not have access to as powerful AI tools, so you should use clear words like “and” or “and then” to separate multiple plays. The GameCaller Pro plan has access to more powerful AI systems that can easily handle multiple plays.

To log plays to your team in GameCaller using the voice powered stats, there are two options. You say the player’s name and the play they did. “Michael gets the rebound”. You say the player’s jersey number. “10 gets the rebound.”

To log plays to the opposing team in GameCaller you have several options. Say “they” or “them”, for example “They rebound the ball.”

Say the team name. Matches also work on smaller phrases, for example the team “Los Angeles Sky” you could say “Sky makes two points” or “foul on Los Angeles” and they match the team.

When you create a game, there’s an option to enter a jersey color for the opponent. If you fill this out, in the game you can say “Turnover by red.”

Once a play has been created in GameCaller, you can edit it or delete it if it is incorrect. Click on the play in the play-by-play feed. This will open an interface where you can change the event, change a sub-category, such as what kind of foul it was, or change the team or player the event was assigned to.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of this view and you can delete an incorrect play.

No, GameCaller cannot track stats for players on the opposing team at this time. If you say a player name or say a jersey number in your voice recording, GameCaller will try to log the stat to your team. Since most likely that jersey number or player name is not on your roster, you’ll likely get an incomplete match.

GameCaller works even when you are at a location or venue with limited or no internet. GameCaller will fall back to on-device AI tools when there is no internet to continue collecting stats. You can also use the tap interface to enter stats. The next time your device connects to the internet and the GameCaller app is open it will reconnect and sync the stats.
